Protect email address changes with password verification

To update an email address in My Preferences or on an existing contact record, users must now verify their identity by entering their password before saving the change.

Key benefits

  • Stronger protection for email address changes.

  • Reduced risk of unauthorized account modifications.

  • Consistent identity verification for email updates.

What's changed

My Preferences

When you select Change account email address, the dialog now includes a Password field in addition to the new email address field. Enter your current password and the new email address, then select Save.

Previously, users could update their account email address without password verification.

Contacts

On existing contact records, the primary email address field is now read-only in edit mode. To update the email address, select Change primary email address. In the dialog, enter the new email address and your current password before saving the change.

This change applies only when editing existing contacts. The email address field remains editable when creating a new contact.

Users

No changes were made to user record email updates. Password verification is still required when saving changes to a user record.
